My role
I worked on the project as a UX/UI designer. My role included designing the mobile interface, joining online client meetings, and collaborating closely with the developer to make sure the design was not only visually consistent, but also clear and practical to implement.

Challenge
The main constraint was time: the app had to come together quickly, without room for an extended discovery phase. The client had a clear high-level vision, and together with our project manager we turned it into a roadmap and requirements list. From there, my job was to quickly identify which functionality was essential and translate it into the interface as efficiently as possible.

Approach
After sketching several concepts, we picked the strongest direction and refined the visual style through a few iterations. From there, we mapped the user flow for the beta and the App Store-ready MVP. The project involved close, ongoing communication with the client — regular calls kept us aligned on direction and feedback — alongside tight collaboration with the developer to make sure every screen, state, and component was implementation-ready.

Outcome
The result is a complete mobile app design offering a fresh take on dating: fast, and as safe as the format allows. It won't eliminate the occasional bad match — no dating app can — but it meaningfully improves the odds of connecting with someone worth grabbing coffee with, or planning something together. The app is live in the U.S. App Store, with an Android launch planned.
